- hincha
Argentinean for supporter of a sports team. It is by some even used to describe the political supporters. This would imply that you love your team/party no matter what. (even though they completely change their political program etc...) Used by some to describe the supporters of "el peronsismo"
- el peronismo
I would be crazy even to try to define this term... A submission will probably appear discussing this political party, but definition, no. Imposible! =)
- porteño
Can be either a person that lives in Buenos Aires, or the Spanish accent used in the same area. So you can both be and speak porteño (I suppose it comes from the word port)
- DNI (Document Nacional de Identidad)
A sort of small passport with a social security number that is basically worth gold. Without it you can not really do anything plus if you get your hands on one you are one lucky bastard and your Argentinean life will never be the same again. Please note the word EXTRANJERO written across the front page - it means FOREIGNER...
